I began playing tennis at age 5 in my hometown of Gastonia, NC, and immediately fell in love with the sport. I played throughout high school and college and decided to make tennis my life’s career. Four years ago I was introduced to pickleball and fell in love with that too! I’m a certified tennis and pickleball coach (USPTA, PTR, & PPR) with over 13 years of teaching experience at Van Der Meer Tennis Academy and New Bern Golf and Country Club. A year ago I moved back to the Charlotte area to be closer to my family and I have continued teaching the games I love.
I believe that tennis and pickleball really are the sports of a lifetime and I want to share my passion for them with you. I teach all ages from kids to adults and all skill levels from beginner to advanced. If you’re a new player, we will work on the basics and introduce you to the active fun of tennis or pickleball. If you’re an experienced player, I will help you fine tune your game to take you to the next level. But most importantly, I want to instill in each player a love of the game and I do that by making sure we have a great time on the court. Whether you prefer private or group lessons, clinics, round robins or summer camps, I’m available to organize and teach the two most popular racquet sports in the country.
